It is my belief that everyone deserves to have a safe, emphatic, and non -judgemental environment to which they can begin to better understand themselves.
Therapy allows individuals the opportunity to grow and change and develop a better understanding of who they are. This process is a collaboration to discover the desired lifestyle and happiness we all want. I offer a warm and supportive environment and want to help my clients process and express their emotions.
I have worked with children for over 15 years through my practice as well as a school counselor in the New Orleans area. I am also a Registered Play Therapist through the Association for Play Therapy. Play therapy utilizes play, children's natural medium of expression, to help them express their feelings more easily through toys instead of words. I utilize child centered play therapy with directive and indirective approaches. I believe each child is unique and therefore, each session is customized to meet the child's needs. I specialize in self esteem issues, negative thoughts, impulse control and anxiety issues.
I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). ART is a therapeutic approach that helps individuals process and resolve traumatic memories and other distressing experiences using rapid eye movements and visualization techniques. It's a relatively brief therapy, often requiring only a few sessions to achieve significant results. By targeting the emotional and mental impact of negative memories, ART aims to reduce distress, anxiety, and other related symptoms, promoting faster and more effective recovery.

A key component to a child’s emotional growth and understanding is a loving supportive environment. I offer parenting support coaching where we work through obstacles, behavior challenges and emotional growth from the parent perspective. I go beyond general strategies to work through family dynamics, past issues and trauma to develop well rounded supportive child/parent relationships.
